Jo Allen is a California-based artist known for her ink and watercolor work. She is also the author and illustrator of "The Accidental Naturalist" line of superfine coloring books, which celebrate her state's native species. And, just for fun, she designs personal and spiritual fine jewelry for private clients. Jo holds a Master's Degree in Sustainability Management, which has led her to become an in demand resource, helping brands with their fight against climate change through whole systems design.

Jo is an immigrant and a Chinese American mother of two. Before becoming a mother — and subsequently losing her identity for a few years — she was a sustainability advisor fighting climate change, but was always deeply uncomfortable with the lack of representation within the movement. She believes environmental justice and social justice are intimately linked, and therefore is passionate about using the tools and resources she gained from being an environmental advocate to create change in the BIPOC community.
