Why Jessica Wren Olson's Mother-Daughter Brand Is Her Dream Come True

WHAT DO YOU DO AND WHAT LED YOU TO THIS CAREER?
I have always loved fashion and creating and have started multiple lines over the years. Once I had my daughter it was amplified! I grew up in a very artisanal family; my grandmother and mother used to sew me outfits for special occasions and holidays, many of which I still have to this day to pass down to my daughter Wren. She quickly became the muse for new outfits my mother would handmake. We had a very organic start as a brand! Friends would ask all the time what Wren was wearing and finally persuaded us to start our own line. My mother and I officially launched Wren Amber 3 ½ years ago. We are proud to be mother-daughter founded, and ever inspired by a granddaughter (and now a grandson too! Our second child is now 20 months and was a pandemic baby!). We are so inspired to bring our styles to children all over, especially my hometown of Los Angeles!

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CAREER ACHIEVEMENT THUS FAR?
Building something meaningful and going into business with my mother. She inspires me daily with her work ethic and dedication to creating.
WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING ASPECT OF BEING A MOTHER?
Seeing those smiles each and every day. Knowing it's the little things that matter the most and my eternal gratefulness to my husband and God up above for my two healthy babies.

Patience and grace being a working mother juggling multiple endeavors.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR SOMEONE NEW TO YOUR INDUSTRY?
Keep it local! Small brands can do mighty things within the community!
WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR A NEW MOTHER?
Try to stay as present as possible. It really does go by so fast and you will want to slow down the clock... focus on the little things because they are what matter the most... and remind yourself to breathe during the tougher times and find solace in knowing that "this too shall pass". Quality time together as a family is the most important and rewarding so do it as often as possible and create your own family traditions! Also remember quality time for yourself and with friends and others that inspire you is equally as important, because when you are at your fullest, your family feeds off of it!
WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU? DO YOU HAVE ANY EXCITING PROJECTS COMING UP?
We are getting into a lot more boutiques both locally in Los Angeles and nationwide. We are continuing to partner with amazing local organizations to do markets and activities around LA this spring & Summer so keep an eye out for updates! We love anything that supports and brings together local artisans and the community. We have our new summer collection launching and are constantly trying to increase our visibility and customer base. Teaming up with the right partners and participating in local events is what we love to do! I cannot wait to bond and collaborate with other Fashion Mamas & brands.
