Inside Our Annual Cannabis Is Self-Care Celebration

At Fashion Mamas, we believe a happy mama makes a happy family. Self-Care is of the utmost importance, and for some of us, Cannabis Is Self-Care. That was the theme behind our #FashionMamas420 event last week at Light Lab which saw a bunch of LA mamas sampling, learning about, and celebrating Cannabis in its various forms.
For the busy mom, vaporizers presented a convenient and powerful option. Our friends at Potent Goods provided mamas with vapes, lighters, and chic bandanas that are in keeping with the kind of quality and stylishness one would expect from co-founders Gela Nash-Taylor (and LA fashion legend) and her son Travis Nash. We also love that they’re a mama-son team! The three different strains: “Amplify,” “Muse,” and “Offline” show that they understand that cannabis users today can include working professionals and creatives who want a second to unwind. As for the quality, it isn’t standard THC oil inside these vapes but a base made from liquid diamonds that sets them apart and makes them potent goods.
If you’re a fan of smoking the flower, we had Miss Grass mini pre-rolls to light up for 4:20. It was everything our mamas needed in one mini box! The sizing, the aesthetic, and included matchbox show that they clearly thought of everything. And for the smoke-averse mamas, Jayne provided edibles in two yummy flavors, so they could get lit without ever having to leave for a smoke break.
We owe a big thanks to TYSM for designing, assembling, and offering for our ravenous consumption an exquisite charcuterie spread that was almost too beautiful to eat! This also wouldn’t have been possible without Light Lab, whose indoor-outdoor studio space was perfect for mamas that blaze and looked even better in the sun’s afternoon glow.
