It’s that time of year again! Mother’s Day. Which, for faithful followers of Fashion Mamas, means Mama Market day. On May 7, the day before Mother’s Day, we took over the spacious green at the Americana at Brand for a day of shopping, mingling, and dancing! We were proud to have eleven amazing mama-owned brands represented, including our very own Fashion Mamas Label with designs created by founder Natalie Alcala.
Strolling around the green, you could find everything under the sun (or, in this case, umbrella). Wanted something cute for your little one? Accessories by Little Gems, clothing by Gingersnaps and dōs has got you covered. How about for yourself? Clothing options ranged from streetwear by *MindfulFee to ethically and locally-manufactured essentials by Poplinen. For that extra something, accessories options included Apple watch bands by Chalonne, bold hats curated by Born to Roam, chic-and-practical bags by Nice Pack, and truly unique jewelry by Yara Sophia. Oh, and in case you think we forgot about your body, we didn’t. Namesake Skincare showed us their skincare line developed with melanin in mind.
If you wanted to take your leisurely time perusing these abundance of goodies, you could feel comfortable doing so knowing that your kids were under the watchful care of The Nanny League who supervised a coloring station right in the middle of the green, visible from any booth. DJ Lindsay Luv kept the party vibe going and we may or may not have witnessed a dance-off with the kids.
