Inside Our 9th Annual Mamas Making It Summit!

We did it! Our 9th annual Mamas Making It Summit was an absolute success, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing speakers, sponsors, and attendees.

This year’s summit took place at a beautiful new location in Downtown LA’s Arts District, featuring serene natural light and chic decor that made for stunning photo moments. We started the day with delicious pastries by our go-to Clark Street for parents, and healthy snacks by Happy Wolf for the little ones. By the way, little ones are always FREE at our summits, paired with free childcare by The Nanny League — because we want every mama to have the opportunity experience this special day.

Our first panel was a fan-favorite: The Lightbulb Moment. Emma Flanders of HAWKs, Bette Bentley of Skimpies, and Jennifer Sinigal-Cornelius of Born to Roam starred on this panel, and they all shared the special moments that sparked the idea for their brilliant businesses — and all the first steps they took to make it happen.

Next up was our Marketing Gamechangers panel, featuring Ida Kay of Amazon Music, Alyssa Rara-Luna (an amazing brand marketing consultant), and Lindsay Luv (a DJ, influencer, and experiential agency founder). They each shared their candid insight on how to drive brand awareness in new and inventive ways via viral-worthy campaigns, unforgettable events, and strategic marketing.

After our delicious lunch break courtesy of Loqui, we jumped right into the Monetizing Your Mission panel, featuring Amy Nazarian of Zip N’ Bear (who also hosted a brand booth at the event!), content creator extraordinaire Jjanga, and Ariyana Hernandez of NORA Agency. We loved hearing their compelling insights on building revenue in their respective industries.

Next, we hosted another fan-favorite panel, Curating Your Dream Career, which featured three inspiring women who are making their dreams come true — on their own terms. DJ Hunny Bee shared how she became a viral sensation, Londyn Douglas shared how she’s remixed her career to include all of her fashion-forward interests, and Lindsay Albanese discussed the many hats she wears as an inventor and OG fashion expert (she was the newest mama in the house, too!)

Last but certainly not least, we ended this magical day with our Power of Pivoting panel. This was a beautifully emotional conversation with powerhouse Kelly Helfman as she shared the moment she knew that she needed to change her career and personal life, artist and chef Jo Allen as she shared the many pivots she’s made to ensure she’s leading an authentically fulfilling life, and Varuni Palacios as she shared her switch up from a wildly successful career to building a second life as LA’s go to esthetician. The moral of this panel was that it’s never, ever too late to start over and follow your dreams.

We are so grateful to each and every one of you who joined us on this special day. Next up: New York!
