Meet Arielle Cole, The Chic Sleepwear Founder Solving Night Sweats

“Women of all ages and sizes are suffering from night sweats, and there just weren’t cute brands doing it right.” — Arielle Cole, Founder of Arid Blayne

PLEASE SHARE YOUR CAREER JOURNEY — WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE, AND WHAT LED YOU TO BUILDING YOUR OWN BRAND?

I always knew I wanted to build my own brand, but it took me a LONG time to get here. My career has been all over the place. My first job was in media buying, booking commercial spots for brands. Next, I worked in real estate for four years. Finally, I found my calling at an iconic American fashion brand and was there for over six years. It was the first time I ever worked in a supply chain like that, and I was able to learn so much, from design to production to sales.

I built Arid Blayne out of necessity. I had started taking an SSRI to treat depression, and the main side effect I experienced was terrible night sweats. After looking into cooling sleepwear, I saw there was a serious need for high-tech but actually cute pajamas that someone like me would want to wear. After a few years of developing the product and brand, we launched in Fall of 2025!

WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BUILDING YOUR OWN BRAND?

Providing something to women that we actually need! This brand was built to address a need faced by me as well as so many other people. I was sweating so much at night due to my SSRI, and I just knew there had to be a solution. Women of all ages and sizes are suffering from night sweats, and there just weren’t cute brands doing it right. I did a pop-up in Brooklyn over the holidays, and I had a woman who was going through chemotherapy come in and cry to me about how bad her night sweats were. She came back the next day for a second set. I don’t think I could have even predicted moments like that, but they are incredibly inspiring and rewarding to me as a founder.

AND WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT?

One of the biggest learning curves for me has been production. While I had some exposure to apparel manufacturing in my previous role, building Arid Blayne has given me a much deeper understanding of what it truly takes to bring a garment to life. We work closely with our manufacturing partner in Los Angeles and a specialized technical fabric partner overseas, and I’ve learned so much about lead times, logistics, and the level of precision required to ensure every piece meets our standards. Thank god for my head of production because I would be so lost without her!

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH YOU HAD KNOWN BEFORE BUILDING YOUR OWN BRAND?

I truly thought I could do most of it on my own. I quickly realized that I needed to build a strong team and am proud to say I did just that. I am surrounded by people who are smarter than me in their respective specialties and I wouldn’t want it any other way! I know what I know and I am not afraid to admit what I don’t know. I have a team of experts and I let them direct which way to go in their own fields. Don’t get me wrong. I still have my opinions and vision as a founder, but I tell my team that I want them in charge of their own divisions and to treat it like their babies. I want them to be proud of what they are building and own it! This isn’t about me, it’s about us!

WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR SOMEONE LOOKING TO TAKE THEIR INDIE FASHION LABEL TO THE NEXT LEVEL?

Take your time! Nothing good happens overnight. Learn from your customers and always provide them with the best product you can, incorporating the feedback they share. If you don’t have a product people actually want, then you don't have anything.

WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT FAVORITE STYLES IN YOUR COLLECTION?

My favorite styles are the Lasso Pant and the Long Sleeve Henley because you’re able to see the best results when you sleep in this set. The Lasso Pant has a patent-pending elastic loop that goes around your ankles so your wide-leg pants don’t ride up at night. Before, I would wake up in the middle of the night so hot because my pant legs would ride up, causing my legs to generate so much extra heat. I knew I needed to come up with a way to keep the cooling material against the skin. The Henley is great because you have the fabric covering your entire upper body, which allows all of the moisture to be wicked away for maximum cooling effect. All of my tops have two layers of fabric in the front, so you have a little extra nipple coverage — something I always appreciate!

IN HONOR OF SLEEPWEAR: WHAT DOES YOUR BEDTIME ROUTINE LOOK LIKE? ANY FAVORITE SELF-CARE ROUTINES?

I brush my teeth, do a long skincare routine, take my SSRI, change into my Arid Blayne, close my blackout shades, make sure my room is at 67 degrees, turn my humidifier on, and put on brown noise. Consistency is key!

WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC/ARTISTS DO YOU LISTEN TO WHILE WINDING DOWN FOR THE NIGHT?

Anything that is mellow and soothing. I love some Ed Sheeran, but often I’ll listen to a soothing massage playlist or put on brown noise to get ready for bed. Once I hear my sound machine, my body knows it’s time to sleep!

WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU? DO YOU HAVE ANY EXCITING PROJECTS COMING UP THAT WE CAN SUPPORT?

We’re continuing to grow thoughtfully and stay closely attuned to what our customers are telling us they want. A big focus for us right now is expanding the brand in ways that feel both intentional and responsive to their needs, from new categories to continued innovation in materials and design. You can expect a lot of thoughtful evolution and newness from us throughout 2026.
