Photos: Inside Our Spring Mama Market in Los Angeles

Although we’ve hosted a slew of cool digital and socially distant events over the past year (see our most recent Mamas Making It Summit and a handful of diverse Mama Markets that spotlighted Black, Asian, and Latinx owned businesses), we couldn’t wait to invite our members to an in-person affair for safe shopping, mingling, and some much needed catching up. And this past Saturday, May 8th, we finally got to do exactly that — at one of our favorite venues nonetheless.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, we took over The Green at the gorgeous Americana at Brand for an afternoon of retail fun, kids crafting, and a ton of much-needed in-person connection. Members and newcomers alike perused goods from 10 vendors, including our very own Fashion Mamas Label (we even sold out of our long-awaited “Hot Mom Summer” racerback crop top). Other highlights from the shopping offerings included greenery and florals from Planteria Latina, kids clothing from Come What Mae, Elfin Los Angeles, and Lifetime of Leisure, womenswear from Ladaire, and accessories from Yara Sophia and Born to Roam. Guests also grabbed cans of low-sugar wine Bev and sweet treats from Laduree while kids busied themselves coloring and creating under supervision from The Nanny League — so mamas could have a few moments to themselves in honor of the holiday.

And don’t stress if you had to miss the event, as we’re already busy planning more opportunities to reconnect with members in person — and soon. Stay tuned for all that’s to come!
