Meet Joceline Raad: Miami Mama and Parenting Blogger
“Be consistent and make sure you're passionate about it (new career).”
What do you do and what led you to this career?
I am a blogger, shop owner, and stay-at-home-mom. With a BA in Marketing and currently with 3 under 3, I decided to stay home until my kids enter school. I decided to blog to share my positive experience on pregnancy, motherhood, and marriage. I then went on to open my online shop, and both blogging and my shop have provided an income while I stay at home with my little ones.
What are the names and ages of your little ones?
My 3 under 3 are: Caleb Beau, who is 2.5 years old, Olivia Joy, who is 15 months old, and Darla River who is only 2 weeks old!
What has been your biggest career achievement thus far?
My biggest career achievement occurred while I was working as a Marketing Manager for an event rental company. Now I am a stay-at-home-mom, winning the South Florida's Best Parenting Blogger Award of 2018! I started blogging for fun, and I love that my audience is able to be inspired and encouraged to see motherhood in a positive light.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a mother?
Being able to raise my babies full-time and watching them grow up to be kind, loving humans.
And what is the most challenging?
Not sleeping during the first month of their existence! LOL.
What is your best advice for someone new to your industry?
Be consistent and make sure you're passionate about it. If there is no passion, then, most likely, you won't plan your next move and have a vision, eventually leading to giving up.
What is your best advice for a new mother?
It won't be easy, but it will definitely be the best, most rewarding role of your life!
What's next for you? Do you have any exciting projects coming up?
I am currently starting to look into possibly launching a garment that will help mothers postpartum.
